  • Systems of Equations Types of Solutions Digital Drag/Drop Activity: Elimination

    $1.80Price

Help your students practice determining the type of solution to systems of linear equations with this fun and self-checking digital activity! Students solve 12 systems of linear equations using elimination. Based on the solution, students drag and drop the system under the appropriate column: one solution, no solution, infinitely many solutions. Perfect for practice, re-teaching, or small group instruction. No prep!

When assigned as “make a copy for each student” in Google Classroom, students can delete the type of solution at the top of each column to reveal the answer and check their work. Students love being able to get instant feedback on their understanding! If their answer is incorrect, encourage students to go back and check their work/redo their work!

    This product includes:

    • Digital Activity (Google Slides): 12 Systems in Total
    • Answer Key
    • Printable Student Work Space

    This activity aligns well with:

    CCSS:

    • 8.EE.8b: Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables algebraically, and estimate solutions by graphing the equations. Solve simple cases by inspection.
    • A-REI.6: Solve systems of linear equations exactly and approximately (e.g., with graphs), focusing on pairs of linear equations in two variables.

    NGLS:

    • NY-8.EE.8b: Solve systems of two linear equations in two variables with integer coefficients: graphically, numerically using a table, and algebraically. Solve simple cases by inspection
    • AI-A.REI.6a Solve systems of linear equations in two variables both algebraically and graphically.
